What we collect
- Account info from Google:name, email, profile picture. We don't see or store your Google password.
- Materials you upload: stored in our object storage (Vercel Blob), processed by Google Gemini for text extraction and metadata, then kept so you can re-use them.
- Activity data: exam attempts, scores, topic performance, spaced-repetition state. Used to power your dashboard and remediation queue.
- Operational logs: standard request/error logs (no material content), retained for 30 days.
What we don't collect
- Tracking pixels or third-party advertising tags.
- Your Google password.
- Anything beyond what's needed to make the product work.
Who sees your data
- You (the account owner).
- Sub-processors that power StudyBuddy: Vercel (hosting + Blob storage), Neon (Postgres database), Google (Gemini AI for question generation and grading), Upstash (rate limit cache).
- No one else.We don't sell or share your data.
Your controls
- Delete any course or material from the app at any time.
- Delete your account: email hello@studybuddyhq.comand we'll wipe your data within 7 days.
- Export your data: same email, same response time.
Children
StudyBuddy is for users 13 and older. If you're under 13, please don't create an account.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll email you before it takes effect.
